Higher education expenditure in 2015 up to 50 billion euros for the first time

WIESBADEN – In 2015, the expenditure of public, church and private institutions of higher education in Germany on teaching, research and health treatment reached 50.0 billion euros for the first time. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was an increase of 3.7% compared with 2014 (48.2 billion euros).
